Santa Cruz Harbor Instruction
Santa Cruz boasts its Mediterranean climate, surf culture and history, recognized universities, and its quaint, laid-back atmosphere. Located near San Francisco and San Jose, Santa Cruz is on the brink of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. Encompassing 276 miles of shoreline and 5,322 square miles of ocean, the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary is the largest marine reserve in the United States. The Monterey Bay was established for the purpose of education, research, resource protection and public use. It is home to one of the most diverse marine ecosystems on the planet, hosting marine mammals, seabirds, fish, invertebrates and amazing kelp forests that the otters call home.
We at Kayak Connection take advantage of the opportunities that the Monterey Bay offers to the fullest, getting people like you on the water daily in a way that is eco-friendly, people powered, sustainable and fun! Grab a paddle and come and see this most incredible place for yourself. You'll want to come back again and again.
Let our professional instructors teach you with this amazing ecosystem as your classroom!
Reservations are required for all classes and payment is due in full at the time of reservation. We require 48 hours notice for all cancellations. If Kayak Connection determines unsafe conditions due to weather (i.e. strong winds, high surf, etc) reservations will result in a full refund.
