Santa Cruz Harbor: Windrider17 Trimaran Class
Windrider 17 Trimaran Course
Learn about hazards of the Bay, boundaries to sail, coming into the dock, leaving the dock, close quarter drills, and much more. Upon completion of the class, provided both instructor and student are comforable with student's ability, a certificate will be rewarded.
Cost: $100 per person
Duration: 2-3 hours
Requirement: We require that renters take our WindRider Trimaran Course and receive its certificate before renting. Click here for rental information. Kayak Connection is the only place on Monterey Bay to rent a WindRider.
What to bring:
- Appropriate footwear (we recommend booties; tevas and old tennis shoes work as well)
- Hat with visor
- Sunscreen
- Bathing suit and towel
- Windbreaker / Fleece Top
- Sunglasses with retainer
- Water and snack

A Note on New 2009 Boats:
Windrider Trimarans now come only in White and with Champagne Colored cross beams and mast. The floor has been lowered slightly to give more room in the cockpit and the company is now offering aluminum trailers!
