Whale Watching
SANTA CRUZ HARBORHead out into the glorious Monterey Bay from Santa Cruz Harbor in search of creatures great and small. During the spring months, migrating Greys and Humpbacks are often close to shore for the protection of their young calves. This is the optimal time to kayak into the Bay in search of whales, while also enjoying views of the sea otters, sea lions, seals, dophins and porpoises. Your Kayak Connection guides will teach you about the natural history of the unique marine ecosystem of the area. Beginner kayakers welcome. Kayak Connection provides all the paddling equipment, but you may want to bring your own binoculars for optimal viewing. We make no guarantees of whale sightings but we do guarantee a good time!
