COVID-19 Protocol

During these challenging times, Kayak Connection wants to help you and your family have a wonderful experience on the water while also mitigating risk as much as reasonably possible.  We have enacted the following protocols to help reduce the risk to you and our staff.

  • We have created a minimal contact setup procedure respecting six feet of distance.
  • Personal flotation devices are sanitized and exposed to UV light.
  • Every paddle-shaft is sanitized and wiped down prior to each use.
  • Customers can print our liability waivers from the links below, complete and present to staff without having to enter our indoor facility.

  • Proper social distance is clearly marked outside; customers are NOT ALLOWED inside the shop for any reason.
  • Masks are REQUIRED during the payment and gear-up process.
  • Employees clean restrooms, door handles and outdoor surfaces regularly.
  • Employees must wear masks during payment and gear-up process.
  • Snacks and water are currently not for sale.
  • You may not paddle if you are sick, experiencing cough, shortness of breath, fever, unexplained fatigue, experiencing a sudden loss of taste and/or smell, or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the last fourteen days.
  • Spray skirts will not be available, and patrons must adjust their own foot-pedals. Sit-on-top kayaks are RECOMMENDED for paddlers who have never paddled a kayak with a rudder system.
  • Customers MUST remove their masks once on the water.
