During these challenging times, Kayak Connection wants to help you and your family have a wonderful experience on the water while also mitigating risk as much as reasonably possible. We have enacted the following protocols to help reduce the risk to you and our staff.
- We have created a minimal contact setup procedure respecting six feet of distance.
- Personal flotation devices are sanitized and exposed to UV light.
- Every paddle-shaft is sanitized and wiped down prior to each use.
- Customers can print our liability waivers from the links below, complete and present to staff without having to enter our indoor facility.
Child Liability Waiver (under 18)
- Proper social distance is clearly marked outside; customers are NOT ALLOWED inside the shop for any reason.
- Masks are REQUIRED during the payment and gear-up process.
- Employees clean restrooms, door handles and outdoor surfaces regularly.
- Employees must wear masks during payment and gear-up process.
- Snacks and water are currently not for sale.
- You may not paddle if you are sick, experiencing cough, shortness of breath, fever, unexplained fatigue, experiencing a sudden loss of taste and/or smell, or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the last fourteen days.
- Spray skirts will not be available, and patrons must adjust their own foot-pedals. Sit-on-top kayaks are RECOMMENDED for paddlers who have never paddled a kayak with a rudder system.
- Customers MUST remove their masks once on the water.
